I'm Nat Carroll, an Australian illustrator and creative director. Most days you'll find me tucked away in my studio down on the south east coast, next to the ocean and amongst the trees, in a place called Bermagui.

I'm drawn to making work reflective of the joy, awe and beauty I observe during my days; living amongst nature, sunshine and light, the ocean, solitude, reflection, grace, kindness, people-and-animal-watching, humanity, plants, music, sounds, familiar, well-worn spots and newly explored places. This language of mine, with it's sense of wonder, play, warmth and adventure, takes it's shape in small-edition art prints and stationery.

By day, I run an independent practice, collaborating on commercial projects. This work spans brand strategy, visual identities, publishing, festivals and events, packaging, murals, textiles and lettering. Select clients include triple j, the ABC, Adelaide Women & Children's Hospital, DDB Sydney, Frankie Magazine, Reach Out, Lorde, The Mushroom Group, MusicNSW and Westpac.

I also like to do other *introvert-like* things: filling up Evernote or Notion with lofty plans, devouring books, music and the ocean air, being swept up in Wes Anderson films or Aaron Sorkin's prose, nurturing my indoor plant-jungle and garden with my cute-as-dog-a-log Mollie by my side, or escaping to adventures along this stunning, remote coastline and other far-off lovely places in the world.
