I have always been drawing, writing about or just mucking about in nature. As a kid I was the one with the neatly labeled feather collection in a cigar box and the sharpest crayons.

I have a BFA in painting but really, most of my art training has taken place out in the field. I carry a sketchbook with me everywhere and have shelves full of sketchbooks which are in themselves full of many of the wonderful things I've witnessed and enjoyed.

Along with being an artist and writer I have also always been a bit of an entrepreneur. While in college I helped support myself by selling cards I hand printed and later while in NYC I sold my hand painted notecards from a bench in Central Park. Yeah, it was the 70s and my dog wore a bandana, too.

I returned to Cape Cod in the late 70s--it is where I grew up and I've been here ever since. My kids are here, my husband seems to have as much sand in his shoes as I do and we are lucky enough to have a few grandchildren to take to the beach now as well. I also live with two ginormous cats, and our very enthusiastic and wonderful corgi, Arlo.

I started my Etsy shop soon after I began to blog back in 2006 and although I had a ton of new stuff to learn I've loved being here as part of this wonderful community. I am still learning new things every day, both in my art work and my business. I am happiest when drawing and painting and hope that comes through in my work.
