From the moment I could hold a paintbrush my beautiful Mum surrounded us with paint, pencils, clay, paper, glue, pastels and general creative chaos. This love of art and an extended family who lived overseas, meant hours spent writing letters. Those hours turned into weeks, and months, and years; I joined pen pal programs at the local library, I wrote to cousins, grandparents, authors, friends, even my sister.

Skip ahead to 2010 and I was writing to 30+ pen pals all over the world, collecting stories, sharing everyday moments, spilling secrets. In 2011 "Papered Thoughts" the blog was born, A place to document my love of, the now, lost art of letter writing. I began searching for sweet, quirky things I could send through the post to brighten my postal friends days, I struggled, So as every good artist does, I created.

"Papered Thoughts" the Etsy store began in early 2011, initially a store focused on pen pals and mail, it has since evolved and expanded. However the essence remains the same, I want to create things that make people happy, that brighten their day, that lift them up and let them know that they've got this. I want to connect people, lovers, family, long lost friends, strangers, because that's how we know it's all going to be okay, that's how we know we're not alone.

Words saved my life once. I went through a rather dark patch in 2012, lost and confused, I couldn't see the light at the end, But by surrounding myself with good, bright, brilliant words I slowly began to heal and find my path. That's what "Good Vibes Rock!" rocks are all about - I just want someone else to feel the same hope and strength and drive as I did. To this day, the words I write on my "good vibe rock" rocks are so often words I need to hear myself.

I still believe there's something truly magical about opening your mailbox to a spectacular parcel, created just for you, a parcel that's travelled ocean and air, just to make sure you're day is good! And that's why along with bright, beautiful products, packaging is another thing I take very seriously. The idea behind the "Lucky Dips" also stems from my love of beautiful unexpected packages in the mail box, the lucky dip selection of rocks just adds another element of surprise and fun, whilst allowing me to continue to expand the collection.
