I just love these coasters. The cream with hints of color is so lovely. I ordered another set!

About

Philosophy of Quiet Storytellers

I am a believer. I believe in being kind to others and to the earth we share. I believe taking something like a well-worn flannel shirt and turning it into a hard-working rug makes sense emotionally and ecologically. I believe something handmade is valuable well beyond the fibers used to create it because I believe every artist weaves a piece of himself into his art. And I believe we all can and do make a difference and it is our choices that quietly tell the story of our lives and beliefs.

    Owner, Maker, Designer

I design and make the woven items you find at Quiet Storytellers. The colors, the rhythm, the quiet joy of throwing a shuttle and watching a piece take shape, and hearing that this one of a kind item is exactly right for someone simply make my day.

  • Tim

    Tech Support :o), Maker

This is my lovely and patient husband who keeps my looms and computer in working order. He's also the man taming the 1924 Gearhart sock knitting machine to bring fun, colorful socks and mittens into a world made warmer because of his efforts.

  • Leah

    Designer, Maker

Dreamer, designer, and maker of lovely crocheted items.

Shop policies

Thank you for visiting Quiet Storytellers.

Every item is handcrafted in smoke-free, pet-friendly environments (though every effort is made to keep the pets away from the product and fibers).

To be as environmentally friendly as possible I often reuse mailers (so even if it looks like a shoe box, it may be housing a lovely new scarf--so please open it).

Another way I choose to be environmentally friendly is to NOT print out a shipping order as this information is available electronically. If you need or want a printed shipping order, please let me know at time of purchase.

My intent is to include complete care instructions for all items. If I forget, please let me know and I'll send them to you electronically.

Thank you for visiting and listening to the stories that each piece tells you.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Payment
Quiet Storytellers currently accepts PayPal and Etsy Direct Checkout.

If we have agreed to a trade, I will activate the other option at time of purchase.
Shipping
I usually use Etsy shipping labels to mail purchases. Please make sure your mailing address is correct on Etsy so there is no delay. Thank you!

I strive to make the best choices in packaging and shipping, but if you have a preference for a particular shipping method, please inform me at time of purchase, and I will try to accommodate as best I can.

If actual shipping costs are less than expected, I will refund any overages in whole dollar amounts. For example: Listed cost: $12.50, actual cost $9.00, refund amount, $3.00.

All import fees, taxes, duties, etc are the responsibility of the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs
If your handcrafted piece arrives in a condition other than what you were expecting, please contact me and I will be happy to work with you toward a resolution.
