Hi, I am Nilam and I am the creative designer, artist, photographer and seller behind the Snowy River brand.

I have been living in Australia for the last 20 years. I am married and live with my husband in Canberra, Australia which is a Covid free state. We also have a physical shop that sells some of the range of the items available on this site.

I started creating clay jewellery and clay gift products during the lockdown of COVID-19.

I work in IT from 9 to 5 as a Software Engineer. I explore my creativity when I need to relax and enjoy creating and painting as a hobby.

My jewellery is 100% handmade with polymer clay.

I also have a passion for art. Recently I have started a jewellery range on handpainted mini art on polymer clay earrings. The art is original and entirely my work on different mediums i.e clay, artist paper etc.

I mostly handpaint Australian native flowers, birds and tropical flora and fauna.

I was born and grew up in Fiji till in my teens. In my twenties I ventured to Australia for studies and its been more than 20 years since I made Australia home. Due to my heritage, I also tend to design and paint Fijian motifs, tribal art and tropical flowers and fish.

To keep a balance in my daily life, I practice yoga as well. So at times, I also tend to do paintings on mind and spiritual entities and art on hindu philosophy.
