Our kids have loved being outside in the sunshine, loving and being loved by our animals.
We have gardens that have been planted by generations before us. I've learned to can, dehydrate, bake & more.
We sometimes have as many as 60 chickens at once, mostly because the babies are SO CUTE.
This is our mama goat, Tinkerbell. She gives us babies and milk, and we love her to pieces.
My favorite animal on the farm is the bees, and my favorite byproduct is the honey <3

The Simple Life

I always wished for a slow paced, simple life - with the time and space to be close to my family and nature.

Several years ago, my husband and I bought a small-but-beautiful farm in the country and moved our family into this old (slightly dilapidated) farmhouse. Neither of us knew m *anything* about growing our own food or putting it up, raising livestock, keeping bees... every day has been a learning opportunity and our whole family has put our hearts into the experience.
