Sizing Guide
For the best fit, please measure head circumference before ordering. Ages are estimates only, and head size can vary a lot from child to child.

▸ 0–3 Months: fits approx. 13–14″ heads
▸ 3–6 Months: fits approx. 15–16″ heads
▸ 6–12 Months: fits approx. 16.5–17.5″ heads
▸ 12–18 Months: fits approx. 18–19″ heads
▸ Toddler: fits approx. 19–20.5″ heads
▸ Child: fits approx. 21–22.5″ heads
▸ Adult: fits approx. 22.5–24″ heads

Each hat is handmade to fit the head circumference listed and is designed to sit around mid-ear or slightly above. These are not oversized winter beanies unless you intentionally size up.

Because every child’s head shape and hair volume are different, measuring is very important.

A real-life sizing example from our own home:

Our 20-month-old measures 19″. He technically fits in the 12–18 Month size, but it is snug and does not come down well over his ears. The Child size fits him comfortably and comes slightly past mid-ear.

I would only purchase the 12–18 Month size for him if it was being used very soon or if I did not plan to use it more than once.

Children’s heads can grow quickly. If your child is at the higher end of a size range and you are purchasing weeks before the hat is needed, sizing up is strongly recommended.

Our 11-year-old daughter measures 19.5″ and fits perfectly in the Toddler size. Our 7-year-old son measures 21″ and needs the Child size.

Three children. Three very different ages. Very different head sizes. This is why head measurement matters much more than age.

If your child measures at the higher end of a size range, sizing up is recommended for:

▸ Longer wear
▸ A less snug fit
▸ More ear coverage
▸ A slightly more winter hat feel

Please measure before ordering to ensure the best fit. Refunds are not accepted at any time.

Because these hats are often purchased for special events, exchanges may be approved but require return shipping and processing time. Please measure carefully before ordering to avoid delays.

If you have questions before ordering, please reach out before purchasing. I am happy to help guide you with sizing.
