I've had a thing for clay since I was a little kid because I clearly remember the day that I discovered an odd white streak on the banks of the creek that flowed through our neighborhood (the creek was our playground) and ran to get my mom, who told me that it was a clay deposit and that if I dug some out she'd show me how to make things with it. I finally talked the art teacher into firing one of my little figures and I've been hooked ever since.
Before we moved to South Carolina (from North Carolina), I worked in a sculpture studio and did decorative painting for an interior designer. I have a kiln on the back porch.
Husband, children, dogs and I live in a wonderful old brick house in the Historic District of York, SC.
