I've always liked to discover new fields of creativity. My latest love is glass fusing. Since I've got my own kiln I can't stop experimenting. My background - architecture, interior design, photography - shaped my taste. I prefer simple, uncluttered design, but intentionally I don't follow a particular style. I like to play with styles - mix and match them. Someday I'm totally into minimalism but the next day I can be more romantic!:) Everything can inspire me from folk art to abstract art, my traveling, different cultures, nature, music ... life.
Few words about glass fusing: Glass fusing is the process of using a kiln to join together pieces of glass. If you apply heat to glass, it will soften. If you continue to apply heat, the glass will become more fluid and flow together. Two or more pieces of glass will stick (or "fuse") to each other. When the right kind of glass is heated and then cooled properly, the resulting fused glass piece will be solid and unbroken. It may sound easy but it takes lots of practice until you get the sense of the character of the glass. It’s art and physics together. I think learning glass fusing is a never-ending process and a never-ending joy!
