I started making personalized painted glass gifts for my friends several years ago. I enjoyed creating a special design for each person, but found the paint designs would diminish with each wash. I became determined to find a way to make designs permanent and dishwasher-safe. I picked up a Dremel tool to try my hand at it and I’ve been scratching glass from that day on. Stepping into my studio is a meditative practice for me… I am a mom to a curious, free-spirited toddler girl, and full-time nanny to three other darling little ones. I am a red wine-lover and enjoy having a different design for every occasion or mood.
The most popular items requested thus far have been various types of adult beverage glasses (wine, champagne, goblet, beer, rocks, wedding sets); however, I also enjoy etching baking dishes, serving plates, cookie jars, glass ornaments, and vacation shell jars. Being environmentally conscious, I am interested in re-using and re-purposing empty bottles and jars when possible.
The Statement Piece Studio’s mission is to create customized, hand-etched dining & kitchen pieces for your home and gift-giving occasions. I am happy to collaborate on and/or generate new ideas for every item. These gifts are perfectly paired with a nice bottle of spirits, a gorgeous appetizer, a box of tea leaves, or freshly baked goods – whatever your fancy.
Each item is hand-etched and time to complete varies with complexity of design. I aim to complete each order as quickly as possible – my goal is to ship within 3-5 days of order and will openly communicate if a delay occurs. Pricing is subject to change depending on level of intricacy.
