Hallo, ik ben Leo. Ik maak de kunst die ik zelf graag had willen ontdekken toen ik opgroeide.
Ik ben een illustrator uit Argentinië en mijn hele leven is gevormd door de popcultuur van de jaren 80, 90 en begin 2000. Als kind zat ik vastgeplakt aan arcade-schermen, tekende ik stripfiguren en was ik geobsedeerd door sciencefictionfilms en punkrock.
Dit is geen commerciële merchandise. Dit is een zorgvuldig samengestelde collectie van originele, onafhankelijke, handgetekende popart.
Een paar jaar geleden was ik het zat om overal dezelfde massaal geproduceerde, zielloze merchandise te zien – je kent het wel: een generieke filmposter op een t-shirt van lage kwaliteit. Ik vond dat de verhalen en universums waar we van houden iets veel beters verdienden. Iets met de ziel van een kunstenaar.
Zo is PIMPUM begonnen.
Elk stuk in deze winkel begint hier op mijn tekentafel. Geen AI, geen goedkope internetafbeeldingen – alleen pure, handgetekende illustraties. Mijn catalogus is verdeeld in twee persoonlijke passies: de avonturen van mijn eigen kenmerkende personage – een nostalgische reiziger die graag verkleed gaat en iconische alternatieve werelden bezoekt – en losstaande illustraties waarin ik een frisse, artistieke draai geef aan onze favoriete retro-herinneringen.

I’m an illustrator based in Argentina, and my entire life has been shaped by the pop culture milestones of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. I spent my childhood glued to arcade screens, drawing cartoon characters, and obsessing over sci-fi movies and punk rock.

Every single piece in this shop begins right here on my drawing board. No AI, no cheap internet graphics—just pure, hand-drawn illustration. My catalog is split into two personal passions: the adventures of my own signature character—a nostalgic traveler who loves to wear costumes and visit iconic alternative worlds—and standalone tribute illustrations where I give a fresh, artistic twist to our favorite retro memories.
