Volviendo a una vieja pasión...
Coming back to an old passion...
Desde que era adolescente, me interesaron las cuentas y la fabricación de joyas. Era algo que a mi madre y a mí nos gustaba hacer juntas. En aquel entonces, todo el dinero que obtenía de algo que vendía se terminaba gastando en más cuentas, es decir, estaba financiando mi "hábito" de hacer cuentas.
Cuando perdí a mi madre demasiado pronto, heredé todas sus cuentas, pero perdí el entusiasmo por trabajar con ellas. Así que todas las cuentas permanecieron guardadas en cajas durante años. Sin embargo, tras dejar mi trabajo como contadora de nóminas a principios de 2024, decidí NO buscar otro trabajo para dedicarme a lo que antes me había dado tanta alegría. Creo que eso haría feliz a mi madre.
Creo que las joyas deben ser divertidas, asequibles y reflejar tu personalidad. Hago muchos aretes porque, incluso solos, realzan cualquier look, por informal que sea. Y son algo que la mayoría de nosotras usamos a diario...

Since I was a teen, I've been interested in beads and making jewelry. It was something that my mom and I enjoyed doing together. Back then, any money from something I sold just ended up being spent on more beads, i,e., I was funding my bead "habit".
When I lost my mom too early, I inherited all of her beads, but lost my enthusiasm for working with them. So, all of the beads remained boxed up for years. However, after leaving my job as a payroll accountant early in 2024, I decided NOT to get another job in order to pursue what had previously given me so much joy. I think that would make my mom happy.
I believe that jewelry should be fun, affordable and show off your personality. I make a lot of earrings because even alone they dress up any outfit, no matter how casual. And, they're something most of us put on every day...
