Als immigrant uit de Filipijnen worstelde ik met de ontworteling van een leven dat ik kende. Het is niet gemakkelijk om wortel te schieten in een geadopteerd land waar alles en iedereen nieuw was. Betrokken raken bij de gemeenschap, nieuwe vrienden maken en therapie doen, hielp, maar knutselen is mijn manier om te verwerken. En deze deel ik graag met jullie!
Welkom bij BisTag Pinay, een online Etsy-winkel die mijn roots, eigenzinnige gedachten en overvloedige ambachten viert die ik het afgelopen jaar heb gemaakt! Van functionele tot kikay-accessoires, van Pinoy 1-liners tot activistische slogans, je vindt hier een willekeurig assortiment.
Ik bied ook op maat gemaakte accessoires (gebreide mutsen/vingerloze handschoenen/hoofdbanden en accessoires van hars).
As an immigrant from the Philippines, I struggled with being uprooted from a life I'd known. It's not easy taking root in an adopted country where everyone and everything was new. Getting involved with community, making new friends and doing therapy helped, but crafting has been my go to way to process. And I would love to share these with you!
