Hi, I’m Maxine and I am Colleypit Pottery, it’s just me, working from my Small home studio in Rural Worcestershire Uk.
6 years ago my pottery adventure started as a Hobby and has now turned into a passion.
I absolutely love making and I’m often inspired by Nature and the countryside that surrounds me.
I believe that the unique one off quality of Handmade Ceramics, brings Joy into the home, and should be used everyday.
Each piece holds the energy of the maker (Me) and that unique quality can be felt when drinking your Morning Coffee or cooking an evening meal. Sometimes if you look closely you may even find a finger print embedded in the clay. 🙂
I enjoy using many methods within my making, throwing on the Potters Wheel, Handbuilding, and Sculpting. Often I can be found Sculpting a Fox, Hare, Dog etc, or on the potters wheel making mugs, plates or bowls.
Finding the Creative passion for pottery later in life has brought a real joy into my making and sense of fulfilment, and It brings me immense pleasure knowing that my work will be enjoyed in people’s homes for many years to come.
