Color the Moon foi criado a partir do desejo de encontrar novas casas para itens antigos. Parece que agora vivemos em uma sociedade descartável, onde as coisas são jogadas fora porque não estão na moda ou modernas. Eu me encolho quando penso no número de tesouros úteis que acabam em aterros ou incineradores. A cor da Lua não se trata apenas de reciclagem; é re-homing.
A maioria dos itens oferecidos pela Color the Moon foram adquiridos através da propriedade de um parente querido que tinha um amor por tecidos finos. Ela era professora de vestuário e design em uma universidade do centro-oeste e tinha centenas de amostras de tecido que ninguém parecia querer porque não havia jardas suficientes para fazer nada. Permita-me discordar! Esses tecidos lindos podem ser feitos em capas de travesseiro, bolsas, decoração de parede, joias... e muito mais!

Color the Moon was created from a desire to find new homes for old items. It seems that we now live in a disposable society, where things are thrown out because they are not trendy or modern. I cringe when I think of the number of useful old treasures that end up in landfills or incinerators. Color the Moon is not about just recycling; it is re-homing.
The majority of items offered by Color the Moon were acquired through the estate of a dear relative who had a love of fine fabric. She was a Professor of Apparel and Design at a midwestern university and had hundreds of samples of fabric that no one seemed to want because there wasn't enough yardage to do anything with. I beg to differ! These gorgeous fabrics can be made into pillow covers, bags, wall decor, jewelry... and so much more!
