Welcome! Thanks for stopping by my shop!
I’ve always been a huge dog lover, but I kept living in places that couldn't have dogs, or I didn't have enough time to train a dog. Fetching Feldy’s officially started when I knew I could finally have a dog and when I had way too much time on my hands- during the polar vortex of 2019. Temperatures were in the negative 20’s and with wind chills it felt like -52℉. Not to mention all that snow! And I, having the most rewarding profession ever (cough cough teacher), had many cold and snow days with not much to do. This left me with more free time than I knew what to do with. It’s not like these days were planned in advance and I could have gone to Mexico… shoot… does anyone have a time machine? Anyway. Tidying Up with Marie Kondo had recently released on Netflix, so I had just gone through my clothes and other possessions. A friend was going to stay with me for a little while, so I had also just done a deep clean of my whole place. AND the semester had just ended so I had nothing to grade! Am I going on for too long, okay fine, I’ll get to the point.
I already knew that in the summer of 2019 I was going to get a dog. I picked the breed that fit my lifestyle and needs best- a cockapoo. Cockapoo isn’t a great name, but they are the perfect mix of hypoallergenic (great for a therapy dog… plus then my mom can visit without dying), and not too lazy, but not too active. Cue Goldilocks and the Three Bears. There was nothing left to do except wait for summer when I could pick one up. So I started watching training videos and reading blogs about potty training. And then I did what any sane person does and started looking for clothes and toys to buy for my not-even-born-yet puppy. That’s normal, right? But why buy things when you’re so frugal that you unplug the microwave when you’re not using it, AND you have a wonderful mom who is so amazing at sewing that she’s got more than one sewing machine PLUS a femme den full of fabric?! The answer is you don’t buy those things. You make them.
So I did.
Now there’s a shop where you can fetch a fair price on some fetching clothes, and possibly even a toy to play fetch with. I can fetch you whatever you’d like, just let me know in a message.
TLDR version- I’m frugal and I was bored during a polar vortex so I started making things I wanted for my own dog :D

This 8 month old pup is training to be a therapy dog, and comes to the high school where I teach on a regular basis. She helps students in a variety of ways, but she especially loves giving kisses when they're needed.

My mom taught me all I know about sewing. Her specialty is in quilt making and increasing coziness levels on cold Midwestern days.
