Hey Nature ist ein Projekt von Melissa Davie, einer Illustratorin, Naturforscherin und Wissenschaftskommunikatorin aus dem Calder Valley. Im Mittelpunkt meiner Arbeit steht der Wunsch, Menschen durch Kunst, Ökologie und Erkundung die Verbindung zur Natur näherzubringen.

Ich gestalte Illustrationen und Lehrmaterialien und leite Naturwanderungen und Workshops, um Menschen die Natur näherzubringen. Meine Angebote und Workshops regen die Teilnehmenden dazu an, die Natur aus der Perspektive eines Naturforschers zu entdecken und ihre Beobachtungen in Naturtagebüchern festzuhalten. Ich erschaffe botanische Illustrationen, Figuren, die von Pflanzengemeinschaften, Folklore und Blumenfeen inspiriert sind, sowie Illustrationen, die die Landschaft widerspiegeln.

Hey Nature is created by Melissa Davie, an illustrator, naturalist and science communicator from the Calder Valley. At the heart of my practice is a desire to help people connect with the natural world through art, ecology and exploration.

I design illustrations and educational resources, and facilitate trails and workshops to help people engage with Nature. My resources and workshops encouraging participants to investigate Nature through the eyes of a naturalist and document their findings in Nature Notebooks. I create botanical illustrations, characters inspired by plant communities, folklore and flower fairies, and illustrations inspired by the land.
