Our Story

We are the Lapis Design family members, Selin and Umut. We started this business on August 2023 with great excitement. We are two close friends and actually we are electrical design engineers that working in the field of ships. Now, we can read your mind and ‘you are thinking about how we started this business?’ 😊 Actually, we are also micro mosaic artists. We can say that this adventure started with mosaic stones. One day we bought mosaic stones and started breaking them. Then we designed pendants using those broken micro parts. As part of our profession, we love working on and producing micro objects. After a while, we saw the beauty and energy of natural stones. Our design events, each of which is like a meditation activity, combined with a special stories to those moments and step by step, these little stories became a big story. Then, we decided to share these stories to the whole world. We know that each of our jewelries is actually designed for someone special and will find its owner one day. We know that these jewelries designed with love, happiness and beautiful hopes anywhere in the world, will move these feelings to another part of the world one day.

PS: Just so you know, we use 14k gold filled and stainless steel materials for the accessories. We attach importance to the long-term usability of jewelry. That's why we use quality materials, beads, extension chains, closures and pendants.
