Als fervent buitenmens hou ik ervan om een rustiek decor en meubilair te creëren van hardhout dat ik zelf oogst, vervoer, frees, droog, snij/snijd. Op een kleine uitzondering na (zie * hieronder) is elk stuk dat ik maak afkomstig van een boom met een geschiedenis, een boom die hier in de noordwestelijke hoek van North Carolina, op de hellingen van de Blue Ridge Mountains, is gegroeid. Ik werk met verschillende soorten, waaronder Sugar Maple, Tulip Poplar, Black Walnut, Black Locust, Black Cherry, Yellow Birch en Yellow & Shagbark Hickory.

* De uitzondering geldt voor producten op basis van multiplex, zoals cnc-onderdelen voor niet-decor- en niet-meubelartikelen, zoals mijn DIY Linear Guide Rail-platforms.

As an avid outdoorsmen, I love to create rustic decor and furniture from hardwoods that I personally harvest, haul, mill, dry, cut/carve myself. With minor exception (see * below,) every piece I make comes from a tree with a history, a tree that has grown here in the northwestern corner of North Carolina, on the slopes of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I work with various species including Sugar Maple, Tulip Poplar, Black Walnut, Black Locust, Black Cherry, Yellow Birch, and Yellow & Shagbark Hickory.

* The exception are for plywood based products such as cnc'ed parts for non-decor and non-furniture items such as my DIY Linear Guide Rail platforms.
