Min mamma och jag delar ett nytt äventyr.
My mom and I are sharing a new adventure.
Jag växte upp med att gå på hantverksmässor och loppmarknader där mina morföräldrar brukade sälja sina handgjorda föremål och antikviteter. I tjugoårsåldern hade jag inget intresse av dessa saker. Min mamma och moster inredde alltid sina hem med vintageföremål, vissa kanske kallar det lantlig, vintage eller shabby. Jag uppskattade alltid den enklaste och modernare inredningen. När jag kom in i trettioårsåldern tyckte jag om att gå på auktioner och hantverksmässor och märkte att min stil förändrades. Med mammas uppmuntran ger jag mig nu in i ett nytt äventyr i livet.
Min butik är uppkallad efter min nioåriga dotter. Vid två års ålder ville hon ofta ha på sig felmatchade strumpor och kläder, och hon lärde sig att säga "Libbys stil", det var innan de började sälja paket med felmatchade strumpor i butikerna. Med tanke på det eklektiska vintage- och hantverksutbudet i min butik kommer orden "Libbys stil" till mig.

I grew up going to craft shows and flea markets where my grandparents would set up to sell their handmade items and antiques. In my twenties I had no interest in these things. My mom and aunt always decorated their homes with vintage items some may call it country, vintage or shabby. I always appreciated the more simple and modern décor. As I got into my thirties I enjoyed going to auctions and craft shows and noticed my style was changing. With my mom’s encouragement, I am now entering into a new adventure in life.
My shop is named after my nine year old daughter. At the age of 2 she would frequently want to wear miss matched socks and clothes and she learned to say “Libby’s Style” this was before they stared selling packages of mismatched socks at the stores. With the eclectic vintage and handmade crafts items in my store the words “Libby’s Style” come to my mind.
