Scouring all over for Unique Vintage and Antiques
Adoro a busca envolvida em encontrar pechinchas e itens únicos. Eu procuro em brechós e vendas de imóveis. Não sou de passar muito tempo em vendas de garagem, mas paro de vez em quando.
Embora eu fosse bem moleca quando criança, acabei amando joias vintage e antigas. Não importa qual seja o item, tenho muito respeito pela qualidade das peças mais antigas. Porcelana, vidro, gravuras, tudo chama minha atenção. Fico sempre surpresa ao encontrar algo realmente antigo, especialmente itens do século XIX, que ainda estão intactos.
A parte mais difícil sobre esse negócio é ver seus próprios brinquedos em uma loja de antiguidades/vintage. Estou no final do grupo Baby Boomers, mas sempre fico surpreso ao ver meus brinquedos antigos em uma prateleira. Em parte porque me lembra da minha idade e em parte porque eu queria ter guardado alguns desses brinquedos agora tão valorizados!

I love the search involved in finding bargains and unique items. I search thrift stores and estate sales. I am not one to spend much time at garage sales, but I will stop occasionally.
Even though I was quite the tomboy as a child, I have come to love vintage and antique jewelry. No matter what the item, I have a lot of respect for the quality of the older pieces. Porcelain, glass, prints, all grab my attention. I am always amazed to find something really old, especially items from the 19th century, that are still intact.
The hardest part about this business is seeing your own toys in an antique/vintage store. I am at the end of the Baby Boomers group but I am always amazed to see my old play things on a shelf. Partly because it reminds me of my age and partly because I wish I had saved some of those now highly valued toys!
