Siempre me ha gustado tomar fotografías. Pero nunca tuve más que un interés casual antes de ser seleccionado por los editores de National Geographic para un libro especial, "Getting Your Shot: Stunning Photos, How-to Tips, and Endless Inspiration from the Pros".
Se plantó una semilla, y ha crecido con increíble voracidad. En 2015 lancé mi propio negocio de fotografía. La gente me dice: "Has encontrado tu don". Siento que se me ha dado un regalo.
Me gustan los colores vibrantes, las expresiones naturales y los primeros planos. Los animales y plantas que fotografío son locales, a menudo en mi propio vecindario, o tomados en zoológicos y centros de rehabilitación de vida silvestre. Me encanta poder capturar las hermosas criaturas y lugares de nuestra tierra, destacando sus características y personalidades únicas. Mi objetivo es comenzar a explorar más y fotografiar cada lugar que visito.
Cuando mi hija tenía 11 años, descubrió su pasión por la fotografía. ¡Ella es natural! Le encanta la fotografía macro, especialmente de flores. Su trabajo ha ganado muchos concursos, incluyendo Best of Show for Youth Photography en la Feria Estatal de Florida. Y así, en 2020, esta tienda se convirtió en un esfuerzo de madre e hija. I have always enjoyed taking photographs. But I never had more than a casual interest before being selected by National Geographic editors for a special book, "Getting Your Shot: Stunning Photos, How-to Tips, and Endless Inspiration From the Pros."
A seed was planted, and it has grown with incredible voracity. In 2015 I launched my own photography business. People tell me, "You have found your gift." I feel a gift has been given to me.
I like vibrant color, natural expressions and close ups. The animals and plants I photograph are either local - often in my own neighborhood, or taken at zoos and wildlife rehabilitation centers. I love being able to capture the beautiful creatures and places of our earth, highlighting their unique features and personalities. My goal is to begin exploring more and photographing each place I visit.
When my daughter was 11, she discovered a passion for photography. She is a natural! She loves macro photography, especially of flowers. Her work has won many contests, including Best of Show for Youth Photography at the Florida State Fair. And so, in 2020, this shop became a mother-daughter endeavor. You can find her work under, "Katherine Ross Art." She offers some beautiful photography, as well as digital art created from her images.
