Artistry in Wood is my Pashion
Ho fatto lavori in legno per tutta la vita. Ho fatto un sacco di mobili e mobili. Faccio ancora una discreta quantità di lavoro "piatto", ma oggi preferisco per lo più fare arte.
Non vedrai le ciotole multicolori realizzate con diversi colori di legno incollate insieme qui. Io sono tutto per la natura. Lascio che la natura faccia la tela per la mia arte. Sono così fortunato a vivere nel Pacifico nord-occidentale - una regione perfetta per invecchiare il legno. Il tempo qui è assolutamente perfetto - non troppo freddo, non troppo caldo e sempre bagnato!
Abbiamo anche un'abbondanza di alberi unici che crescono qui. Ho accumulato legna sulla nostra proprietà per molti anni. Tutti i miei amici e familiari conoscono il tipo di lavoro che faccio, quindi ricevo spesso chiamate quando hanno alberi che cadono in una tempesta. Abbiamo 2 acri di boschi e cespugli che è perfetto per l'invecchiamento del legno. Vado sempre in giro nel "back 40" alla ricerca di quel pezzo perfetto. A volte si allontanano da me e marciscono, ma a volte li prendo proprio al momento perfetto. E poi avviene la sinergia tra me e la natura.

I have been doing wood work all my life. I have made a lot of furniture and cabinetry. I still do a fair amount of "flat" work, but today I mostly prefer making art.
You will not see the multi-colored bowls made from different colors of wood glued together here. I am all about nature. I let nature make the canvas for my art. I am so very blessed to live in the Pacific Northwest - a region perfect for aging wood. The weather here is absolutely perfect - not too cold, not too hot, and always wet!
We also have an abundance of unique trees growing here. I have been stockpiling wood on our property for many years. All of my friends and family know the kind of work I do so I get calls often when they have trees go down in a storm. We have 2 acres of woods and brush that is perfect for aging wood. I am always walking around in the "back 40" looking for that perfect piece. Sometimes they get away from me and rot, but sometimes I catch them right at the perfect time. And then synergy happens between me and nature.
