5 out of 5 starsI wasn't familiar with this extremely interesting and festive ritual, though I associate it with something similar found in Portugal—the "Caretos of Podence" (which appear around Carnival time and are linked to fertility rituals rather than weddings, marking the anticipation of winter's end). They also wear symbolic masks and use rattles to "shake" the young women.

5 out of 5 starsI had long known this legend from Scottish Celtic folklore 🦭, yet I had never interpreted it quite this way before. This ritual is invaluable for releasing what weighs us down and deciding what we wish to keep—shedding the skin we currently wear while preserving it, so we may always return to that part of ourselves should we choose to do so. In other words, it is a ritual of free will, where we make the choice through introspection.

5 out of 5 starsI loved this ritual 🌝♥️! Even though it is a modern practice rather than a ritual rooted in ancient wisdom, I found it highly valuable, as well as the advice and explanations provided.

5 out of 5 starsExtremely interesting 🌿🌱🍃☘️! Learning about the use of herbs and their symbolism in the Middle Ages, as well as their symbolic (non-medical) application in modern times.
