Der Künstler und die Vision
Willkommen bei Reflections4UToo. Ich bin professioneller Künstler und Musiker aus Dallas, Texas, und arbeite unter dem Namen Zodiac Shards Studios. Mein Leben dreht sich seit jeher um Rhythmus und Präzision – sei es in den 60 Jahren, die ich mit der Gitarre in der Hand Boogie-Woogie und Classic Rock spiele, oder beim sorgfältigen Zuschneiden von Spiegelsplittern für meine neueste Serie. Meine Kunst ist nicht nur etwas zum Anschauen; sie ist ein beständiges Meisterwerk, geschaffen, um die Zeit zu überdauern.
Der Prozess: Vom Sand zum Gold
Meine Arbeit – früher bekannt als Point of View – entsteht aus einer Verbindung von industrieller Rauheit und künstlerischer Raffinesse. Ich verwende keine Farbe. Stattdessen finde ich Schönheit im Weggeworfenen. Ich sammle Glas und Spiegel aus der Umwelt und schneide jede Scherbe von Hand, um ein zerbrochenes, tanzendes Spiegelbild zu erzeugen. Diese Scherben werden dann auf schwere, recycelte Holzplatten montiert, die ich von lokalen Herstellern beziehe.
Um das Design zu fixieren, verwende ich ein spezielles Härtungsverfahren, bei dem das Werkstück mit mehreren Schichten dickem, hochglänzendem Industrieharz versiegelt wird. So entsteht ein robustes, widerstandsfähiges Kunstwerk, das die raue, verwitterte Maserung des Holzes mit der klaren, polierten Energie des Glases harmonisch verbindet.

Welcome to Reflections4UToo. I am a professional artist and musician based in Dallas, Texas, operating under the name Zodiac Shards Studios. My life has always been about rhythm and precision—whether it’s the 60 years I’ve spent with a guitar in my hands playing boogie-woogie and classic rock, or the meticulous process of hand-cutting mirror shards for my latest series. My art isn't just something to look at; it’s a "Case-hardened" masterwork built to withstand the test of time.
The Process: From Grit to Gold
My work—formerly known as Point of View—is born from a combination of industrial grit and artistic refinement. I don’t use paint. Instead, I find beauty in the discarded. I salvage glass and mirrors from the environment, hand-cutting each shard to create a fractured, dancing reflection. These shards are then mounted onto heavy, reclaimed wood slabs sourced from local manufacturers.
To lock in the design, I use a unique "Case-hardened" process, sealing the piece under multiple layers of thick, high-gloss industrial resin. This creates a structural, heavy-duty piece of art that balances the raw, weathered grain of the timber with the sharp, polished energy of the glass.
