Old Rockhound Downsizes

I am an old rockhound with an old cabochon and slab collection that must be passed on to another generation of rockhounds, lapidary artists and jewelry makers. I spent many summers roaming and digging all the rockhounding spots of the western United States with my family. I hear that most of those spots are now closed to the public. We spent our winter months cutting, polishing and setting our finds. We belonged to several local rock clubs that held silent auctions and sales where we bought even more slabs and rocks. Sadly, it is now time to downsize and lighten our load.
Many of my cabochons are made from pieces we collected here in Colorado back in “the old days” but there are also some very nice pieces from rocks we collected in Texas, Utah, Idaho and even Mexico. No matter where they came from, all were cut and polished in my garage. I am opening old boxes and bags and will continue to list them on my Etsy shop until gone.
