Benvenuti a Gallus.

Abbiamo iniziato nel 2007, un martedì mattina a Sennybridge, mentre la pioggia cadeva a dirotto. Era il tipo di tempo che ti fa chiedere perché ti sei preso la briga di scendere dal veicolo. Stavamo guardando una mappa così consumata che l'inchiostro aveva iniziato a sbiadire dalle creste, e ci siamo resi conto che la fatica di affrontare quelle colline non era diversa dalla fatica in palestra. Il paesaggio cambia, ma la fatica rimane la stessa.

Questo negozio è di proprietà e gestito da veterani britannici. Non ci occupiamo di quelle assurdità tattico-chic e super raffinate che si vedono altrove. La maggior parte dell'equipaggiamento moderno è pensato per uno stile di vita che esiste solo sui social media, venduto da persone che non hanno mai trascorso una notte al freddo in una borsa impermeabile. Produciamo abbigliamento militare di alta qualità e design topografici perché diamo più valore alla storia e alla durevolezza che alle tendenze passeggere.

Che si tratti di una maglietta con le mappe delle attività moderne o di una felpa con cappuccio pensata per il transito tra la vetta e lo squat rack, la qualità è fondamentale. Produciamo anche candele perché l'odore dei vecchi tappetini da palestra è oggettivamente terribile e qualcuno doveva pur ripararlo.

Stiamo solo documentando il transito. Se cercate qualcosa che sembri guadagnato piuttosto che appena comprato, siete nel posto giusto. La mappa potrebbe non mostrare sempre le nuove recinzioni o la neve ghiacciata, ma continuate a camminare comunque. Welcome to Gallus.

We started this in 2007 during a Tuesday morning in Sennybridge when the rain was coming down sideways.It was the sort of weather that makes you wonder why you bothered getting off the vehicle in the first place. We were looking at a map so worn the ink had started rubbing off the ridges, and it struck us that the effort of navigating those hills was no different from the struggle in the gym. Scenery changes, but the grind stays the same.

This shop is British veteran owned and operated.We don't do the over-polished, tactical-chic nonsense you see elsewhere. Most modern gear is built for a lifestyle that only exists on social media, sold by people who have never spent a cold night in a wet bag. We make premium military heritage apparel and topographic designs because we value history and durability over temporary trends.

Whether it is a t-shirt featuring the maps of modern operations or a hoodie designed for the transit between the summit and the squat rack, the quality is the point. We also make candles because the smell of old gym mats is objectively terrible and someone had to fix it.

We are just documenting the transit. If you are looking for something that feels earned rather than just bought, you are in the right place. The map might not always show the new fences or the slush, but you keep walking anyway.
