Mi fascinación por las joyas no comenzó en una tienda bulliciosa ni en un tocador refinado, sino en lo profundo de un bosque brumoso en Sussex.

Mi trayectoria creativa comenzó con la recolección. Buscaba ámbar en la costa escocesa, pulido por las olas como gemas, y recogía cristales en bruto con texturas únicas en los valles galeses. Al principio, simplemente envolvía estos regalos de la Tierra con alambre metálico, creando colgantes sencillos pero llenos de sentimiento.
Por aquel entonces, pasaba cada día inmersa en mi taller (que en realidad era solo una vieja mesa de madera en mi apartamento), experimentando con la combinación de metales duros y la delicada belleza de la naturaleza. A menudo tenía las yemas de los dedos llenas de callos, pero mi corazón nunca había estado tan lleno. Comprendí que no solo estaba creando joyas; estaba contando historias: del viento, de la lluvia y del crecimiento.
El momento decisivo llegó con una semilla de diente de león.
El verdadero punto de inflexión llegó cuando mi mejor amiga se enfrentaba a una decisión importante en su vida. Estaba llena de ansiedad y confusión, y había perdido su brillo habitual. My fascination with jewelry began not in a bustling store or at a refined vanity, but deep in the heart of a misty forest in Sussex.
It was a lush summer afternoon, and I (Sarah) had lost my way while wandering among the trees. Panic was starting to set in, and I stopped to catch my breath. Just then, a single shaft of sunlight pierced through the canopy, illuminating a patch of ancient oak bark. It was covered in velvet-green moss, with a few crystalline dewdrops clinging to it, refracting the light like a tiny rainbow.
In that moment, the world seemed to stand still. An indescribable sense of peace and wonder washed over me.
I realized that nature is the greatest artist. That moss, those dewdrops—they were more vivid and full of life than any precious gem I had ever seen. From that point on, I was no longer content with just "admiring" nature; I wanted to capture this fleeting, wild beauty and turn this natural spirit into a protective talisman we can carry with us every day.

My creative journey began with collecting. I searched for amber on the Scottish coast, polished smooth by the waves like gems, and gathered raw crystals with unique textures in the Welsh valleys. In the beginning, I simply wrapped these gifts from the Earth with metal wire, creating raw but heartfelt pendants.
Back then, I spent every day immersed in my studio (which was actually just an old wooden table in my apartment), experimenting with combining hard metal and the soft beauty of nature. My fingertips were often calloused, but my heart had never been more full. I understood that I wasn't just making jewelry; I was telling stories—of the wind, the rain, and of growth.
The defining moment came with a dandelion seed.
The true turning point arrived when my best friend was facing a major life decision. She was filled with anxiety and confusion, and had lost her usual sparkle. I wanted to give her a gift that was more than just decoration; I wanted it to give her strength and remind her that even in the toughest environments, life can still bloom with resilience.
I spent an entire week experimenting with countless methods before I finally succeeded in perfectly preserving a single dandelion seed—a symbol of hope and new beginnings—within a crystal-clear pendant. I also carefully sculpted intricate sterling silver patterns around the edge, resembling growing vines.
When she opened the gift and saw that dandelion seed, looking as if it were ready to catch the wind and ride the waves, the tears in her eyes and the immediate smile that followed became the most cherished memory of my creative career. That experience completely taught me: jewelry should not be a cold, decorative item; it should be a vessel for emotion, the tangible form of our inner wildness and tenderness.
