Es ist mir inhärent, etwas Schönes zu schaffen, sich ein Gemälde, eine Kollektion, ein Produkt, ein Konzept oder eine Idee vorzustellen und dann einen Weg zu finden, es zum Leben zu erwecken, damit andere es genießen können. Es ist visuelles Geschichtenerzählen, und es ist das, was ich jedes Mal versuche, wenn ich meinen Stift oder Pinsel in die Hand nehme und anfange, Tintenlinien und Aquarellwaschungen niederzulegen. Der Künstler hofft immer, dass seine Arbeit mitschwingt und ein Erlebnis inspiriert... eine, die stark genug ist, um den Betrachter fühlen zu lassen. Das ist mein Ziel, mein primärer Fokus und Wunsch... Auf eine Weise zu schaffen, die natürlich und mir selbst treu ist und dennoch die Welt um mich herum durch schöne Kunst und inspiriertes Design bereichert.
It's inherent in me, the need to create something beautiful, to envision a painting, collection, product, concept or idea and then to find a way to bring it to life so that others can enjoy it. It is visual storytelling, and it is what I try to do each time I pick up my pen or paintbrush and begin to lay down lines of ink and washes of watercolor. The artist always hopes that his or her work will resonate and inspire an experience…one that is powerful enough to make the viewer feel. That is my goal, my primary focus and desire… to create in a way that is natural and true to myself and yet also that enhances the world around me through beautiful art and inspired design.
