This Privacy Policy describes how and when TheDesignDeptStudio collects, uses, and shares information when you purchase an item from my shop, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy, Printify, payment processors, shipping carriers, or any other third-party services you may access through Etsy. Information I Collect
To fulfill your order, you must provide certain information, which you authorize Etsy to provide to me. This may include your name, email address, shipping address, payment status, order details, product selections, sizing information, customization details, and any messages you send to me through Etsy.
For custom or personalized orders, you may also choose to provide additional information needed to complete your order, such as custom text, design preferences, recipient names, dates, or other personalization details.
Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I use your information only for limited business purposes, including:
To fulfill your order
To produce and ship your item
To communicate with you about your order
To provide customer support
To handle returns, replacements, order issues, or disputes
To comply with Etsy’s Seller Policy and Terms of Use

I do not use Etsy buyer information to send unsolicited marketing messages. If I ever offer an email list, newsletter, or promotional messages outside of Etsy, I will only send those messages if you have clearly opted in, and you may opt out at any time.

Customer information is important to my business, and I share it only when necessary and in limited circumstances.
Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide my services and comply with my obligations under Etsy’s Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
Print-on-demand and production partners. I may share order information with trusted production partners, such as Printify and its print provider network, only to the extent necessary to print, package, and ship your order. This may include your name, shipping address, product details, size, color, design selection, and order information. Printify’s own policies describe how it processes personal data and its data processing terms with merchants.
Shipping carriers. I may share your shipping information with delivery providers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other carriers used to deliver your order.
Service providers. I may use trusted third-party services for business operations such as order management, accounting, tax reporting, customer service, or recordkeeping. I share information only as needed for those services.
Legal compliance. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to respond to legal process or government requests, enforce my agreements or policies, prevent fraud or security issues, or protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, my shop, or others.

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide my services, fulfill orders, resolve disputes, comply with legal or tax obligations, and maintain business records.
I generally retain order-related records for 4 years, unless I am required to keep them longer for legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes.

I am based in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your personal information may be processed or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where Etsy, Printify, production partners, shipping carriers, or other service providers operate.
