Aprendí por primera vez a coser costuras básicas a mano alrededor de los 5 años. Comencé a recolectar restos de tela y a crear todo tipo de diseño, la mayoría de los cuales resultaron ser lo que uno esperaría de una costurera de cinco años. Alrededor de los 10 años, mi abuela me enseñó a coser en su máquina, y aprendí a usar patrones simples. A lo largo de los años, completé una serie de proyectos, en su mayoría vestuario, algunos con patrones que diseñé yo mismo. También me interesé en la costura cruzada, el acolchado y aprendí tejido básico. Hice trabajos de costurera para personas que conocía, y diseñé y construí varios trajes para dos proyectos de cine independiente de los que formé parte. Decidí el otoño pasado que quería convertir lo que antes eran mis pasatiempos en algo rentable y así abrí mi tienda en Etsy después de investigar el sitio. Decidí que mi enfoque principal serían los productos basados en cosas de la televisión favorita de ciencia ficción y fantasía, películas, juegos y libros. Lo he disfrutado mucho, y espero continuar durante mucho tiempo.

I first learned to sew basic hand stitching around the age of 5. I began collecting fabric scraps and coming up with all sorts of design, most of which turned out how one would expect from a five year old seamstress. Around 10 my grandmother taught me how to sew on her machine, and I learned how to use simple patterns. Throughout the years, I completed a number of projects, mostly costumes, some with patterns some I designed myself. I also became interested in cross stitching, quilting, and learned basic knitting. I did seamstress work for people I knew, and designed and constructed several costumes for two independent film projects I was a part of. I decided last fall that I wanted to turn what before were my hobbies into something profitable and thus opened my shop on Etsy after researching the site. I decided my main focus would be products based on things from favorite sci-fi and fantasy TV, movies, games, and books. I have enjoyed it very much, and hope to continue for a long time.
