5 na 5 gwiazdekI bought this and one other of the series for my best friend's children (who needed some fun activities for the summer but also needed to continue to learn, as a teacher of 20+ years, I know that the summer academic backslide is really a thing). This book was so much fun to use. I was able to print a copy for both of her children (one in 2nd and one in 4th, both moving to the next grade), but they ended up working on this book together (I was even blessed to spend some time with them while they were moving through the story). The story was appropriate for both children (and would be for an even wider range). We read aloud the book to both children, the rising 5th grader was able to then reread on her own. Both children enjoyed the beautiful full color illustrations. Highly recommend.

A friend was frustrated that her children didn't have summer homework, so I got to work trying to find something that was both fun and academically engaging. I bought this download and one other of the series and the activities were a hit, both with mom and her kids (one in 2nd and one in 4th). It was great because I could print two copies - one for each child - and they could do the activities either alone with support, together or independently. Another cool thing was that the 4th grader became upset when she made a mistake on one of the pages and we were able to reprint the page so she could make it right (not possible if I had bought a hard-copy book). I highly recommend.
