Um lugar mais suave para aterrissar.
A softer place to land.
É daí que vem o nome The Quiet Between (O Silêncio Entre).
The Quiet Between began with a feeling I think many women know, even if they don’t always know how to explain it.
You can have a perfectly ordinary life and still feel like you’ve somehow gone missing inside it.
You get up, answer messages, remember what everyone needs, keep relationships together, make decisions, solve problems, and do all the things that need to be done. From the outside, nothing may look particularly wrong. You’re functioning. You’re capable. You’re getting through your days.
And yet, somewhere underneath all of that, there can be this quiet feeling that you haven’t really checked in with yourself for a very long time.
Maybe you notice it in a relationship, when you realize you’ve become so good at understanding another person that you barely know what you want anymore. Maybe it happens at night, when everything finally becomes quiet but your mind doesn’t. Or maybe there isn’t one dramatic moment at all. You’re simply tired. Overwhelmed. A little disconnected from yourself. And you wish you had somewhere to put all of it.
That is the space I wanted to create with The Quiet Between.
I didn’t want to make another collection of self-help worksheets telling women how to become calmer, stronger, more productive, more confident, or better at life. Most of us already spend enough time wondering what we should be doing differently.
I wanted these pages to feel more like sitting down somewhere quiet and finally being able to say, This is what has actually been going on with me.
Sometimes you don’t need advice immediately. You need to understand why something hurts. Why you keep repeating a pattern you thought you had outgrown. Why saying no makes you feel guilty. Why rest doesn’t always feel restful. Why you can love someone and still lose yourself beside them. Why your body can feel exhausted even on days when you seemingly haven’t done very much.
And sometimes, just finding words for what you’ve been carrying changes something.
That is how I approach every guide and workbook I create here. I start with the real experience first — the thoughts we usually keep to ourselves, the small moments that are easy to dismiss, the questions that tend to appear when everything else becomes quiet.
Then, gently, we go deeper.
Not toward becoming a completely different version of yourself, but toward understanding the person who is already there.
Because I don’t think we always need another lesson in how to improve ourselves.
Sometimes we need enough quiet to hear ourselves again.
That is where the name The Quiet Between comes from.
It is that small space between everything you carry for everyone else and what you feel yourself. Between the noise outside and the voice inside you. Between the person you learned to be and the person you may slowly be finding your way back to.
I hope that when you open something I’ve created, it doesn’t feel like homework.
I hope it feels like making a cup of tea, sitting down somewhere comfortable, and having the kind of conversation where you don’t have to explain why you feel the way you do.
A place where nothing is demanding anything from you.
Just a little room to understand yourself better.
And, perhaps, to come back to yourself.
