Two people, two old dogs, and some 3D printers
Hi friend!
We're a husband-and-wife team — one in IT, one a creativity consultant — designing and 3D printing the things we couldn't find anywhere else. Functional pieces that make everyday life a little better, plus a few things made purely for the fun of it.
We road trip to National Parks whenever we can get away, we are unreasonably invested in professional cycling, and we are completely obsessed with our two elderly dogs. They're our children. They also supervise the workshop, badly.
How we make things
Every piece is printed to order in our own workshop, one at a time. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a buyer, which means no overstock and no dead inventory heading for a landfill. We print in PLA, a plant-based bioplastic made from corn starch rather than petroleum, and failed prints, supports, and offcuts get recycled instead of thrown out.
We test everything ourselves before it goes in a box. If a design doesn't work in our own house, it doesn't get listed.
Where the designs come from
Some of what we sell is our own design. The rest comes from independent designers whose work we genuinely love, properly licensed through Hive by Cubee — a commercial licensing platform that makes sure the artist behind a design gets paid when we print it. Our Hive ID is BX5PJ9L0CN. When a piece is someone else's design, we say so and credit them.
What we do with the money
We donate 10% of our profits to three causes that matter to us: animal wellbeing, creative mental health, and environmental sustainability. We think the things you bring into your home should feel good and do good.
We're small on purpose
There are two of us. One of us printed your order, and one of us packed it. That's not a limitation we're apologizing for — it's why we can answer your message ourselves and fix anything that isn't right.
We love hearing from customers, and your feedback genuinely shapes what we make next. Find us on Instagram and Pinterest at @thingsforge.
Thanks for being here. It means a lot.
