This Privacy Policy describes how Vetera Photo collects, uses and shares personal information when you purchase an item from our Etsy shop, contact us or otherwise use our services through Etsy.

This policy does not apply to the practices of Etsy or other third parties that we do not own or control. For information about Etsy’s privacy practices, please refer to Etsy’s Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

To fulfil your order and provide customer support, we may receive information that you have authorised Etsy to provide to us, including your name, email address, billing information, order details and information contained in your Etsy messages.

You may also voluntarily provide additional information when contacting us.

We do not directly receive or store your complete payment-card details. Payments are processed by Etsy and its payment providers.

2. WHY WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your personal information:

• to process and fulfil orders and provide digital products;
• to communicate with you and provide customer support;
• to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements;
• to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations;
• where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and improving our shop, provided that these interests are not overridden by your rights; and
• where you have provided consent for a specific purpose.

We do not use buyer information received through Etsy for unsolicited marketing messages. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

3. SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share personal information only when necessary:

• with Etsy, in order to provide our services and comply with Etsy’s Seller Policy and Terms of Use;
• with professional advisers or service providers, such as accounting or legal advisers, where necessary and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations; or
• with public authorities or other parties where required by law, court order, legal proceedings or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell or rent buyers’ personal information.

4. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with applicable legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Order and accounting records may be retained for the statutory period required under Slovenian law. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted or anonymised.

5. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Etsy may process personal information outside the European Economic Area as described in Etsy’s Privacy Policy and in accordance with its applicable data-transfer safeguards.

We do not independently transfer buyer information outside the European Economic Area unless this is necessary and appropriate legal safeguards are in place.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

• access and receive a copy of your personal information;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request deletion or restriction of your information;
• receive your information in a portable format;
• object to certain processing based on legitimate interests; and
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights may be limited where we are legally required to retain certain information.

EU and EEA residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. In Slovenia, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.
