wink ware A new chapter
Hi my name is Wink, and I am the owner and designer of Wink Ware designs. After many years of being co-owner of Athena’s Wink, I have made the decision to reboot my life. I’ve closed Athena’s Wink, uprooted from New York City and moved across the country to start the next chapter. It was a hard decision to make but it was the best decision. I’m excited as I open up a new life and new possibilities.
My friend Sarah helped me come up with the name Wink Ware for my new business and this new chapter of life. I have always been a designer at heart and I still love to sew. I’m excited to develop more of my original designs, and to move beyond just apparel and accessories to create useful art for the home.
Athena’s Wink focused on fandom art and travelling to conventions around the country. It was amazing, and has helped me grow in ways I could never have imagined. It can also can be exhausting and limiting… 33 shows a year is a lot! With Wink Ware, I still plan on doing a few cons, so stay tuned to my social media so you know where to find me! What’s new is that Wink Ware will be leaning more towards both retail and wholesale sales, with my products available online and in stores.
Please join me in my new adventures. Life can be scary but you can’t live if you don’t take chances. It’s never too late to start a new adventure. Don’t get hung up on the past and keep moving forward, because you never know until you try. It’s OK to fail if it doesn’t work out- the important thing is to try. If it does work out, it makes it even better.
