Ci è sempre piaciuto fare cose da cose riproposte. Carley ha trascorso la maggior parte della sua vita nel campo dell'IT e voleva trovare un modo per utilizzare i cavi di rete rotti che sembrano sempre affliggerla. Gli articoli lavorati a filo sembrano adattarsi a questo disegno di legge. Così ha trascinato a casa alcuni cavi sono arrivati a spogliarsi e hanno fatto un albero, che perché un 2 °, un 3 ° e così via ... Non ho guardato indietro da quando ho fatto il primo albero. I ragni sono entrati in scena perché il mio socio in affari continuava a darmi perline uniche nel loro genere e lei non era sicura di cosa farne esattamente. I ragni sembrano essere un risultato necessario. Le catene Rain erano il risultato dell'esaurimento dello spazio. Camminiamo costantemente per le spiagge e trasciniamo a casa legni, pietre e vetro marino. Avevamo bisogno di un modo per utilizzare alcune delle cose che abbiamo trascinato a casa, quindi quale modo migliore se non quello di creare un oggetto che potessimo condividere con il mondo che era una forma d'arte?

Lavorando alle mostre di artigianato ci siamo resi conto che avevamo bisogno di un modo per vendere i nostri articoli anche online. Ci piace poter condividere il nostro lavoro con le persone e troviamo che poterlo fare su Etsy sia l'ambiente perfetto perché la base di clienti e i venditori sanno già cosa significa quando si dice fatto a mano che rende l'ambiente molto più piacevole.

We have always enjoyed making things from re-purposed stuff. Carley has spent most of her life in the IT field and she wanted to come up with a way to use the broken networking cables that seem to always plague her. The wire worked items seems to fit this bill. So she dragged home some cables got to stripping and made a tree, which because a 2nd, a 3rd and so on…Haven’t looked back since making the first tree. The spiders came into the picture because my business partner kept giving me one of a kind beads and she wasn’t sure exactly what to do with them. Spiders just seem to be a necessary result. The Rain chains were a result of running out of room. We are constantly walking the beaches and dragging home driftwood, stones and sea glass. We needed a way to use up some of the things we dragged home, so what better way then to create and item that we could share with the world that was a form of art?

In working the craft shows we realized that we needed a way to sell our items online as well. We love being able to share our work with people, and we find being able to do so on Etsy is the perfect environment because the client base as well as the vendors already know what it means when you say handmade which makes the environment much more enjoyable.
