All my items are knitted using premium quality lambswool yarn. I am situated in Derbyshire, which is the home of John Smedley who is the oldest knitwear manufacturer in the world.

Beautifully crafted knitwear made in Derbyshire.

One of my trusty vintage knitting machines ready to knit your super cosy lambswool garments .:
Our latest craft fair at Bakewell Derbyshire .

When I was a little girl my mother and I would sit together to knit and crochet , and many years later I have set up my own knitting business .

WoolStuffDesigns is a one man band operation, primarily me, Claire, busily knitting away in my knitting shed! I have always loved knitting, my mother had a knitting machine when I was a little girl and I remember her getting very frustrated with it! However that didn’t put me off and after my two children started school I bought my very first machine , which I still have . My hobby evolved into a small business and I started to sell in various shops in the Peak District. I first started making scarves , gloves , then cushions , all made in beautifully soft lambswool on my vintage 1980’s knitting machine . Each garment is then carefully hand manipulated in the shaping and casting on / off process.

I am passionate about quality and hope that you get as much pleasure from my garments as I get from making them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I will do my best to help you.
