Gifting with intention
Hi, I'm Sandrine from Abingdon in Oxfordshire and the owner and creator of A Twig's Tale. Originally from France but with much of my life spent between Cheshire, Germany, we have now settled in Oxfordshire, where I also work in secondary school having developed a love for Year 8 Maths!
My clay making business developed from a need I had in September 2020. I collected twigs in my garden, that I cleaned and used for home decor. I looked for small hearts to make a wall hanging and after a few consideration, decided to make my own using white air dry clay. Before too long, I was rediscovering all the cookie cutters and embossing letters I used with my children when baking and with the wall hanging now made but clay left over, I started making Christmas decorations!
I created seasonal hanging decorations for my family, friends and started getting requests. I knew I liked Christmas ornaments, always, but discovered this new love for meaningful, elegant, personalised decorations. A Twig's Tale was born.
I now also create keepsakes and gifts that can be personalised to celebrate life's meaningful moments: Mother's Day, wedding and engagement, birth, birthday.
Inspired by my love for simplicity, my pieces remain in their natural colour with the occasional touch of gold.
I like each piece to be a thoughtful gift and a celebration of life's precious moments that can be brought out year after year and gifted with intention.
