Our Story...
Bienvenido a FunCycled, una empresa de reutilización de muebles personalizados, pintura de interiores y construcción de muebles personalizados con sede en Troy, Nueva York, que sirve al Distrito Capital y se envía a todo Estados Unidos. Somos Juan y Sara y esta es nuestra historia.
Nos enamoramos y nos casamos en 2003 y desde entonces hemos sido bendecidos con dos pequeños dones increíbles de Dios.
Comenzamos nuestro blog FunCycled.com enseñar a la gente algunos de nuestros consejos para rehacer muebles y compartir antes y después de nuestros proyectos. Desde entonces, hemos estado vendiendo nuestros muebles reutilizados, diseñando pedidos de muebles personalizados como mesas de comedor y ofreciendo pintura de interiores, pintura de gabinetes de cocina y consultas de color por hora. Sin mencionar las aventuras súper divertidas como estar en el Rachel Ray Show o estar en el Flea Market Flip de HGTV.
John tiene amplias habilidades de carpintería que aprendió mientras trabajaba en contratación y carpintería durante 6 años y facilidad general: de alguna manera sabe cómo crear toda la solicitud ridícula que le envío. Tengo este amor enfermizo por el diseño y la creatividad (que creo que comenzó cuando era joven y tomé años de clases de pintura, gracias mamá y papá). Juntos estamos reciclando y rejuveneciendo piezas de muebles que estaban en camino a la acera en algo que le dará nueva vida a su hogar. ¡Nos lo estamos pasando genial y conociendo a algunas personas increíbles en el camino!
En 2012 dejé mi trabajo a tiempo parcial para tener más tiempo para trabajar en esto... FunCycled. En 2013, John renunció a su trabajo para mantenerse al día con la demanda. Damos servicio a gran parte del estado de Nueva York y podemos enviar a otras partes de los Estados Unidos. ¡Gracias a todos nuestros clientes locales que han hecho realidad este sueño!
Welcome to FunCycled a custom furniture re-purposing, interior painting, and custom furniture building company based in Troy, NY serving the Capital District and shipping throughout the US. We are John and Sarah and this is our story.
We fell in love and were married in 2003 and since then have been blessed with two amazing little gifts from God.
We started our blog FunCycled.com to teach people some of our tips for redoing furniture and share before and afters from our projects. Since then, we have been selling our repurposed furniture, designing custom furniture orders like dining room tables, and offering interior painting, kitchen cabinet painting and hourly color consultations. Not to mention super fun adventures like being on the Rachel Ray Show or being on HGTV’s Flea Market Flip.
John has extensive woodworking skills that he learned while working in contracting and carpentry for 6 years and general handiness – he somehow knows how to create all the ridiculous request I send his way. I have this sick love for design and creativity (which I think started when I was young and took years of painting classes- thanks mom and dad). Together we’re upcycling and rejuvenating furniture pieces that were on their way to the curb into something which will give new life to your home. We’re having a blast and meeting some amazing people along the way!
In 2012 I quit my part time job to have more time to work on this… FunCycled. In 2013 John quit his job to keep up with the demand. We service much of New York state and are able to ship to other parts of US. Thanks to all our local clients who have made this dream our reality!
