An affordable solution to the button design flaw in the SodaStream 'Spirit', 'Fizzi'. and 'Easy' machines. (or be preemptive and strengthen it before it breaks in the first place!)

This fault (planned obsolescence) is a poorly designed button with thin plastic on the pin stress location, causing it to eventually break. Can also be used to strengthen buttons that are yet to break!
If your button/lever has snapped off below the pin (located above the head of the gas bottle as mine did - see photos) - then this is what you need to fix it-

(NOTE - if you can’t find the broken piece from your old lever, this fixer will still work, you’ll just need a longer pin (use a metal nail or a thin nut and bolt to span the width of the bottom and long enough to go through the holes on my fixer too) - or order my item with the additional pin included.

What you need to do:

1-Glue the broken part back together with super glue, (easier if you take the button off the sodastream to do this, watch out for the spring under the button and metal pin too!) otherwise skip to step 3.

2-Re-mount the now fixed lever (make sure spring goes back in where it belongs too), and press in the existing metal locking pin that fits through the holes.

3-Push the 3D printed piece from the back onto the existing sodastream button.

you can then use the Sodastream again! 👏this 3D printed fix will ensure your SodaStream button is fastened and working for many more years to come.

This is a fantastic fix for my soda stream! So much less wasteful than buying a brand new one. The seller was super helpful, I made a mistake on my address and they helped me fix it before shipping. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that mine was missing the tiny nut pictured for the bolt pin. Still works just fine though, the pin seems to be staying in place without it. May not be necessary.
