Important note: print is not framed or stretched, just canvas

This painting was inspired by my connection to the Earth, the sacred ground* and ecological communities from which these earth pigments come. It is a beautiful journey to capture my paint making process in these distillations and transmissions of heart, a heart pumping with the very iron rich blood that also colors the soil.

The original painting was made with hand gathered and processed pigments. This canvas print was printed locally.

Yellow limonite collected on Arapaho territory in Northern Colorado
Purple hematite, orange iron oxide, white kaolin, and green chlorite gathered on Kalapuya territory in Western Oregon
Red iron oxide collected on Umatilla territory in Eastern Oregon
