Horween Mojave Desert Heritage Leather laced with waxed Ecru coloured Maine Thread Company polycord. Sides are painted with Brown Edgekote and burnished matte. Handles have been sewn in an X pattern as that was the most comfortable way I found of transporting a bottle when prototyping (It also looks pretty darn cool). I’ve purposefully left a small gap in each bottom corner: should there ever be spillage inside the carrier, a quick rinse, drain and tap dry should prevent any unwanted funk.

Entire process done by hand: Measuring, cutting, hole punching, saddle stitching, sanding, edging, painting and burnishing.

These Wine Carriers can accommodate a bottle as large as 1.75L and still feel secure in the hand. See example photos where I placed the largest bottles (Champagne too!) I could find into it.

** Leather is a natural product and may not be uniform, might have grain creases, minor divots or fat lines that only add to its appeal. Should there be a concern regarding usage in the rain, I recommend applying a leather protectant or balm as you would for your leather boots. How often would depend on the amount of use in the elements and the condition of it after each use. Also keep in mind that the polycord thread is absorbent and any leather product may affect its colour.
