This privacy policy explains how Bield Studio collects, uses, and shares personal information when you purchase a digital landscape image, order a printed product, or contact us through Etsy.

1. Information we receive

To fulfil your order, Etsy may provide us with information such as your name, Etsy username, email address, delivery address, payment or transaction status, and order details. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. You may also provide additional information if you contact us through Etsy Messages.

For digital downloads, we usually only need your order and contact details. For printed products, we need delivery details so the item can be produced and shipped.

2. How we use your information

We use buyer information only where reasonably necessary to:

- Fulfil digital download and print-on-demand orders;
- Provide customer support and respond to messages;
- Handle replacements, refunds, or order issues;
- Comply with Etsy seller obligations;
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and record-keeping duties;
- Improve shop operations and customer service.

We do not use buyer information for unsolicited marketing. We will only send promotional messages if you have clearly consented, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable, we rely on the following legal bases:

- Contract performance: to provide the item you ordered.
- Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory duties.
- Legitimate interests: to run Bield Studio, provide customer service, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and improve our shop.

4. Sharing your information

We share personal information only where necessary and only in limited circumstances, including:

- Etsy, because purchases, payments, downloads, and messages take place through Etsy.
- Printful, Printify, and relevant postal or courier providers, where needed to produce and deliver printed products.
- Professional advisers, tax authorities, regulators, or legal authorities where required.
- A successor business if Bield Studio is sold, transferred, or reorganised, only as permitted by law.

We do not sell buyer personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep order, fulfilment, and correspondence records only as long as necessary for customer service, legal compliance, tax/accounting obligations, Etsy compliance, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention.

Because Bield Studio is operated from New Zealand, some business and tax records may need to be kept for up to 7 years. Non-essential personal information is deleted or minimised when no longer needed.

6. International transfers

Etsy, Printful, Printify, payment providers, delivery providers, and other service providers may process information in countries outside your own. Where this occurs, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We only share the information needed to complete the transaction, provide customer service, or meet legal obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, restrict, delete, or object to certain uses of your personal information. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
