Pottery, Prints & Surf

I created Bleu Marie in 2009 after a trip to Ireland where I discovered pottery. I left everything right back home to dedicate my days to my new project. Originally from Quebec, I live in Nova Scotia where I split my time between pottery and surf. Oh! And I also make prints now... check them out!

I make everything myself: pottery, prints, shipping, website, photos, accounting, etc. When I'm done, I go surfing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get my piece SOONER THAN 6-8 WEEKS?

If I have your item in stock, I’ll ship it within 2 business days. If I have to make it from scratch, it can take up to 6-8 weeks. Feel free to contact me at anytime to get an estimated time of arrival.

How much time for the SHIPPING? And EXPRESS shipping?

CANADA - 2 to 10 business days.
USA - 4 to 12 business days.
EXPRESS - Canada 1 to 5 business / USA 2 to 6 business days.
PLEASE NOTE - Phone number is required for the express shipping for the US customers, please leave it in a note when you order. Customs/import taxes may apply. I'm not responsible for delayed mail.

Do you offer LOCAL PICKUP?

You can save yourself some shipping by picking up your order at my Nova Scotia studio. Just leave a note when you order and I’ll contact you when your order is ready to make an appointment. I’ll fully refund the shipping fees on the pickup day.

What if I want something CUSTOM?

If you’d like something custom, contact me to see if I can make it. Please note that custom orders are not exchangeable or refundable.

What if I want to ORDER A LARGER QUANTITY than is available on the listing?

If you’d like to buy more quantity than is available on any of my listings, contact me to see if I can make it.

Are your pieces FOOD SAFE? Are they LEAD FREE? Can I put them in the OVEN, MICROWAVE, FREEZER or DISHWASHER? And can I use them on the STOVETOP?

FOOD SAFE & LEAD FREE - My pieces food safe. They are also certified lead and cadmium free thus complying with the Canadian Regulation on Glazed Ceramics.
OVEN, MICROWAVE, FREEZER, DISHWASHER & COOKING ON THE STOVETOP - My pieces are designed for a daily use. They are oven, dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe although I recommend hand washing and carefully avoiding thermal shock at all times by waiting until it has cool down to room temperature before to wash, by never using it on the stovetop (even with a heat diffuser) and by always using a trivet when hot (preferably cork, straw, silicone or wood). You can also soak it into water to wash or use steel wool to clean.

How to RETURN or EXCHANGE an item? And to CANCEL an order?

RETURNS - Contact me within 14 days of delivery. Ship back your item (at your expense) within 30 days of delivery. When I receive the item unused and in one piece, I’ll refund it.
EXHANGE - To exchange something, return it and proceed with a new order.
CANCELLATION - Contact me within 5 days of purchase to request a cancellation and a full refund. I’ll grant it as long as the item has not already shipped.

What if my item is DAMAGED or LOST IN THE MAIL?

DAMAGED - Contact me upon reception with an attached picture of your item in its original packaging. I’ll fully refund the order or send over a free replacement.
LOST - Contact me after 2 months if your order still didn’t show up. I’ll send over a new one or fully refund your order unless the tracking shows that the item has been delivered.

I BROKE A LID, can you make another one? Can I REPAIR it?

BROKEN LID - Unfortunately, if you broke a lid, I can not make another one because ceramic lidded pieces are adjusted and fired together.
REPARING CERAMICS - You can try and repair your broken piece with super glue by carefully following the manufacturer's instructions, but it will no longer be food safe. Make sure to repurpose the pieces you repair into non-food items such as desk pots or planters.
