About

SLOW FASHION FOR FAST BIKE COMMUTERS!

FROM BIKE MESSENGER TO DESIGNER
The owner, designer and seamstress of Cass', Élène, is a lover of urban bike! Formerly a bicycle messenger in Montreal, she decided a few years ago to return to school to learn sewing and pattern making. A second passion was born! This is how Cass' was born: by wanting to reunite her two passions in one and the same project!

FOR THE PLEASURE OF BEING BEAUTIFUL ON BIKE - THE CHIC CYCLE!
The project Cass' lies at the crossroads between handcrafted, fashion, vintage and cycling by offering clothing accessories which have a simple look but stylized suitable for dress codes in the life of every day, while meeting performance criteria techniques sought by the lovers of urban cycling.

Cass' is intended to make life easier for those who want to integrate cycling into their daily lives from bike to work (or coffee, bar, or park, or ...!) Without being covered by reflective tape, Velcro and logos!
Cass' is therefore part of this worldwide movement which is the Chic Cycle!

SLOW FASHION AND ETHICAL FASHION
In addition, the products are entirely manufactured locally, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in the Centre-Sud neighbourhood workshop! Some of the textiles used come from industrial cuttings and the leathers and furs are 100% recycled. Élène creates the models at her own pace, emphasizing on the quality of the clothing and the chosen materials. She pays particular attention to details and wants to make durable products that you can wear for a long time!

WHERE DOES THE NAME CASS' COME FROM?
Cass' owes its name to its very first products, cycling caps made to be worn under the bike helmet, or, "cass’ de bécik" in Quebec!

BIKE: ACTIVE AND ECO-RESPONSIBLE TRANSPORT MODE
At present, it has become essential to develop new lifestyles free of oil culture and cycling as a means of transport is an alternative increasingly valued by many cities.

In fact, the major Western urban centers are currently seeing a sharp rise in the number of people turning to cycling as a means of eco-responsible, economic, healthy and enjoyable transportation. Montreal is leading the way in North America.
Cass' is also part of this movement.

MAINTENANCE TIPS:

- CAPS: We recommend the dry cleaning due to the lining of the visor and the use of various materials, sometimes recycled, which can react differently if washed.
It is possible to iron a visor that had lost its original form in use.

- WAXED COTTON ARTICLES: The waxed cotton is treated similarly to leather. If necessary, we recommend washing with a damp cloth.
You can put your item in a washer but it will lose its water-repellent qualities.
However, it is possible to re-wax a cotton that has lost its impermeability. Contact us about this, we will advise you on different techniques.
Avoid the dryer.

- SKIRTS AND LEGGINGS: You can wash and dry them with the machine without any problem, without them losing their shape and their color.
