Filamentcaster è qualcosa di diverso: un corpo completo per chitarra elettrica che puoi stampare a casa. Volevo una sfida più grande, quindi l'ho progettato da zero, l'ho stampato, l'ho assemblato e l'ho perfezionato attraverso una serie di stampe di prova finché ogni parte non si è incastrata alla perfezione. Il design è basato sul kit fai-da-te Harley Benton T-style, quindi manico, pickup, ponte ed elettronica sono già pronti per essere montati. Il corpo si stampa in quattro pezzi su qualsiasi stampante con un piano di stampa di 256 × 256 mm, si incastra con giunzioni a farfalla nascoste e non necessita di supporti. La sua caratteristica distintiva sono le piastre magnetiche per chitarra: si agganciano e si sganciano in pochi secondi, permettendoti di cambiare l'aspetto della tua chitarra ogni volta che vuoi.
Ogni acquisto include i file pronti per la stampa, un progetto Bambu Studio con le impostazioni già configurate e una guida di montaggio passo passo. Hi, I'm Ben, the owner and designer behind both Filamentcaster and FilamentGifts.
FilamentGifts is my shop for finished, physical 3D-printed gifts and homeware, made and sent by me. Those designs stay exclusive to FilamentGifts and aren't sold as files.
Filamentcaster is something different: a full electric guitar body you can print at home. I wanted a bigger challenge, so I designed it from scratch, printed it, built it and refined it through round after round of test prints until every part fitted properly. The guitar in my photos is the one I built myself.
The design is built around the Harley Benton T-style DIY kit, so the neck, pickups, bridge and electronics all come ready to fit. The body prints in four pieces on any printer with a 256 × 256 mm bed, locks together with hidden bow-tie joints, and needs no supports. Its signature feature is the magnetic guitar plates: they clip on and lift off in seconds, so you can change the look of your guitar whenever you like.
Every purchase includes the print-ready files, a Bambu Studio project with the settings already set up, and a step-by-step build guide. There's also a free test-fit pack, so you can check the fit on your own printer before committing to the full body.
Please note: all files are for personal use only. You're welcome to print as many guitars and guitar plates as you like for yourself, but the files and printed parts must not be shared, resold or used commercially.
