The beginnings

The beginnings
The adventure began in the summer of 1995 in the Lower Laurentians, about 1 hour north of Montreal. I was 16, in the woods with friends, and I rolled a whole salmon in newspaper. After dipping it into the river to soak the paper, I placed it under the embers of a well-fed fire and I forgot it for a good hour. I had heard about this Native American method and I wanted to try it. Of course, I had replaced the birch bark with paper so as not to damage the few birch trees that grew on my ancestors' land! The result was surprisingly delicious and it was the beginning of a worse epic!

The quest for flavors
During the following years, I put on fire chicken, pork, beef, fish, bison, seafood, vegetables, potatoes, fruit, quail, guinea fowl, rabbits, ducks, etc. My quest was not limited to cooking food on fire, but I was always looking for the perfect balance between food, methods and aromas. On the way to the truth, I was trying to determine the best combinations of herbs and spices, brining and pickling, cooking methods and food preparation. After more than 20 years of conquering flavors, I decided to share my knowledge by putting on the market a range of exceptional products.

The beginning of an adventure
In the summer of 2016, I went to the agricultural fair in Victoriaville to discover some of my sauces and spices. Under the name of Le feu au BBQ, the people of Victoriaville were able to enjoy, among other things, my fantastic Frog's BBQ Original chicken wings, accompanied by delicious Coureur des bois potatoes, cooked over the fire. The answer was almost instantaneous and was very positive. People loved the taste and wanted more.

And now…
After 2 years of work, I am proud to present my first products on the market. I hope they will please you and that they will be the beginnings of a new gastronomic adventure.
