It made us both very happy and some of the pictures will land on our best friends' and relatives' white walls to help them pull through these cold and difficult months.

Linocut is not for reproducing art, it is a different kind of tool to make unique pictures
I am Gabriella Makhult, a professional artist, illustrator.
I had my degree in graphic arts at the Fine Art Academy Budapest, Hungary.
Since then I am working as an illustrator and fine artist. I make own exhibitions, puppet theaters, creative paper workshops, book illustrations and many different kind of art.
Linocut is a kind of handycraft printmakig technique, similar to woodcut, which is the most ancient book- and textilprinting technique.
I like to use linocut for my illustrations. It is not the easiest technique, but definitely worth to make.
Linocut is not for reproducing art, it is a different kind of tool to make unique pictures. Every piece is a bit different, I like to paint the lino with different colours, which gives a monotyp or paintinglike look to it.
My items in the Etsy shop are illustrative works, for books or just for my sake...
