Soy mamá. Y un friki. O un nerd. Un ex Geek de la Banda. Todas esas cosas se aplican a mí.
Pero volvamos a ser mamá. Mi esposo y yo ahora tenemos dos hijos. Nuestro primero tiene 9 años y el segundo tiene 5. Nuestros hijos saben quién es Doctor Who y cómo es la TARDIS. El universo de Harry Potter es parte de su universo. Así que estoy criando a unos buenos frikis.
Cuando estábamos esperando a nuestro hijo fue una sorpresa. Ni idea de si iba a ser una niña o un niño. Así que cuando fui a comprar cosas para bebés, todo era uno u otro. Rosa o azul. La división en los productos para bebés y niños me vuelve loco. Así que quiero productos divertidos que puedan funcionar para cualquiera. Algo que crecerá con su hijo y no será infantil en un año o dos.
Me encantan las buenas tiendas de telas, y las toneladas de telas divertidas que los diseñadores están ideando que no son súper específicas de género o edad. Me gusta hacer lo que creo que a otros les gustaría porque es lo que estoy buscando cuando voy de compras.
Así que con la ayuda de mi familia, presento Geek Out Sewing.

I am a mom. And a geek. Or a nerd. A former Band Geek. All of those things apply to me.
But back to being a mom. My husband and I now have two sons. Our first is 9 years old and second is 5. Our kids know who Doctor Who is and what the TARDIS looks like. Harry Potter universe is part of their universe. So I am raising a good little geeks.
When we were expecting our son came as a surprise. No idea if he was going to be a girl or a boy. So when I went shopping for baby stuff it was all one or the other. Pink or Blue. The split in baby/kids products drives me crazy. So I want fun products that can work for anyone. Something that will grow with your child and not be babyish in a year or two.
I love good fabric stores, and the tons of fun fabrics designers are coming up with that are not super gender or age specific. I like to make what I think others would like because it is what I am on the look out for when I go shopping.
So with the help of my family, I present Geek Out Sewing.
